Through visits to castles, battlefields, historic towns and forgotten landscapes, I’ll explore the real people, places and legends that inspired the Related to Dracula series. These films are designed to bring history closer—through evidence, location and storytelling.

I’m currently researching and developing a series of historical documentaries inspired by the people, places and legends behind the Related to Dracula novels.
Each documentary will combine historical research, real locations and visual storytelling to explore the truth behind some of history’s most fascinating figures.
From the mountains of Wallachia to the royal courts of Tudor England, these films will separate documented history from popular legend while uncovering the stories that inspired the books.
Rather than retelling familiar legends, these documentaries will focus on the historical evidence behind them. Together we’ll visit the places where history unfolded, examine surviving sources and separate documented fact from centuries of myth and folklore.

When I began writing the Related to Dracula series, I quickly realised that many of the most fascinating stories could not fit within the pages of a novel.
These documentaries will allow me to visit the real locations, explore the historical evidence and share the remarkable research that inspired the books.
Whether you are interested in Vlad the Impaler, Tudor England, forgotten castles or medieval legends, I hope these films will bring history to life in a way that is both informative and engaging.
They are a natural extension of the novels—a chance to step beyond fiction and discover the real history behind the stories.
